The NSF I-Corps Hub New England Region is offering an I-Corps Training starting May 1, 2025, that includes free admission to the BIO International Convention in June with all expenses paid.

A new study by an interdisciplinary team of researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst reveals that women in academic entrepreneurship are more likely to be driven by social impact than commercial motives, highlighting a key factor influencing gender disparities in STEM-related business ventures. 

Nine UMass Amherst faculty and staff were recently recognized for their contributions to the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded I-Corps @ UMass.

The goal of the I-Corps program is to deploy experiential education to help researchers reduce the time necessary to translate promising ideas from laboratory benches to widespread implementation that in turn impacts economic growth regionally and nationally.

The U.S. National Science Foundation has named the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a partner in the NSF I-Corps Hub: New England Region.
