Presenting a translational research opportunity is significantly different from similar processes for basic research efforts. Even the most experienced university researchers can find it challenging to adjust to the broader range of stakeholders and priorities. This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to pitch decks and milestones, both of which are widely used by research-driven translational teams and startup founders to engage with potential investors, end users and other stakeholders. Join us to explore milestones (versus aims) as well as structure and content for pitch decks (versus research talks).
This program is specifically designed for Translational Seed Award full proposal applicants, but all are welcome. Materials will be distributed electronically in advance. To maximize the value of this workshop, please plan to be engaged in workshop activities throughout. Team members are strongly encouraged to register individually, but plan to attend on Zoom at a single location to enable group work.
