The UMass Amherst ART program hosted Rich G. Carter, Oregon State University and the Promotion and Tenure – Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PTIE) team as part of their collaboration through U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Accelerating Research Translation (ART) award (#2331351).
The visit brought together leaders from across campus; including the ART leadership team, faculty innovators, deans, chairs, office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Engagement, Office of the Provost including the newly appointed Vice Provost of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity, Technology Transfer Office, and Office of Research Development to explore how innovation and entrepreneurship can be more deeply woven into faculty Promotion & Tenure processes.
