Vapor Coating to Enable Smart Textiles

Soliyarn is revolutionizing the smart wearables industry by leveraging Chemical Vapor Deposition technology to create textiles with unprecedented heating, sensing, and liquid-repellent functionality.

Chemical vapor deposition is a nascent, single-step processing method for forming electronic polymer films on unconventional substrates and is increasingly important for creating flexible and wearable electronics.  A suite of vapor-phase polymerization reactions performed inside reduced-pressure hot wall reactors, collectively termed CVD, are the enabling methods we use to build novel devices.

Ultrathin polymers developed by Soliyarn transform ordinary fabric into highly durable functional textiles without altering garment feel, breathability, comfort, or performance - all without the environmental cost of textile production.
