Technology Focus

The purpose of AuCoDe’s technology is to automatically detect and analyze controversies as they emerge online and in social media.

Research Focus

Development of applications to serve specific markets, most recently to provide information and insight that will enable financial institutions’ ability to reduce risks and increase profits.

Market Focus

Our current focus is on financial institutions. We are also interested in serving customers working in reputation and crisis management, defense and intelligence, and advertising technology.

Social Impact

Controversies online and in social media have a substantial impact on civic society and the so-called "filter bubble" exacerbates polarization, both political and otherwise; fake news on both sides of the political spectrum has been a recent matter of major public attention and political concern. Positive impact on society from commercializing this technology includes helping users become better informed and more capable of critically evaluating the often-overwhelming stream of content online.
