Cleaning Up Lithium-ion Battery Manufacturing
Amel Energy, an IALS Collaboratory occupant, provides a pathway to safer and greener manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries by eliminating toxic and polluting chemicals. The Amel Materials Platform consists of non-toxic solvents and PFAS-free binders that are compatible with all existing manufacturing equipment, domestically sourced, and cheaper than the incumbents. Amel’s customers will protect their workers and the environment all while securing a domestic supply chain.
