Ravi Ranjan Presents at Advances in Genome Biology and Technology Conference

Ravi Ranjan, PhD

Genomics Resource Laboratory Director Ravi Ranjan recently presented at the 2024 Advances in Genome Biology and Technology General Meeting in Orlando, Florida. The presentation, “Streamlined for speed: NEBNext UltraExpress for DNA and RNA library prep,” helped address challenges pertaining to next generation sequencing (NGS) applications.

The NEBNext UltraExpress library prep kits discussed in the presentation are designed to generate high-quality, high-yield libraries with a faster, easier workflow. The kits utilize master mixes and a single protocol that incorporates a universal adaptor concentration and number of PCR cycles. Available for DNA and RNA, the kits provide substantial savings on consumables and time. DNA library prep is complete in under 2 hours, and RNA library prep in 3 hours, thereby enabling library prep from total RNA in a single day.

New England Biolabs, Inc. (NEB) is an industry leader in the discovery and production of enzymes for molecular biology applications and now offers the largest selection of recombinant and native enzymes for genomic research.
