Dr. Volodimyr V. Duzhko
Dr. Duzhko is an Extension Assistant Professor in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He received a B.S. degree in Applied Physics and M.S. degree in Semiconductor Electronics from the National Shevchenko University, Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2002, Dr. Duzhko earned a Ph.D. degree (Dr.rer.natur.) in Condensed Matter Physics from the Technical University of Munich, focusing on studies of fundamental photovoltaic phenomena in materials with nanoscale dimensions and on development of new experimental techniques for such studies. Over the course of his research career, Dr. Duzhko has developed extensive expertise in a broad range of electronic and optoelectronic devices, focusing primarily on Materials Science and Device Physics and Engineering aspects. In particular, he specialized in developing new materials and fabrication processes for dye-sensitized, organic/polymer-, and perovskite-based photovoltaics. Prof. Duzhko taught "Introduction to Analog and Digital Electronics" and "Advanced Physics Laboratory" courses to Physics and Engineering Physics majors from 2007 to 2010. During the past 6 years, Dr. Duzhko has been involved in multiple collaborative research projects with UMass and outside faculty members as well as been leading independent research projects. Below, please see Dr. Duzhko's representative publications.
