CPHM Call for Research Thrusts
The Center for Personalized Health Monitoring is offering grants to incubate the development of research thrusts. Our goal is to provide ‘scaffolding’ for interdisciplinary groups of researchers to coalesce and form strategic partnerships and interdisciplinary collaborations towards the goal of submitting proposals for future funding and broader impact.
Translational Seed Awards
The Institute for Applied Life Sciences offers Translational Seed Awards of up to $100,000 for translational research & development to move UMass research and creative works towards impact through research-based startup ventures, out-licensing of patented or copyrighted work, scaleable community engagement, social impact ventures, or other vehicles.
Core Facilities Funding Opportunities
IALS Research Centers (CBD, CPHM, M2M) have generously offered to contribute incentive funds to stimulate novel uses of the Core Facilities as well as subsidize training for student users.
IALS Midigrants
The IALS midigrant is designed to be a flexible seed fund mechanism up to $50,000 to enable new translational research and explore new collaborations within IALS. All active faculty members of IALS and affiliated postdoctoral researchers may apply for funds.
IALS Translational Graduate Student Assistantship
IALS Research Centers (CBD, CPHM, M2M) offer one year of funding, through an application process, for graduate students who have completed their second year or beyond, to support relevant translational research projects.
BioRender
All IALS affiliated labs have free access to BioRender Premium, thanks to the support derived from IALS-tagged grants. This is a great resource to help create graphics, enhance visual communications, stand out from others, and improve figures for grants/manuscripts.
