PSA/MTA members who become biological, adoptive or foster parents of a child receive, upon request, up to:
- 26 weeks of unpaid leave if employed by the University for at least 6 months.
- 8 weeks of unpaid leave per child if employed full-time by the University for at least 3 months, under the
Massachusetts Maternity Leave Act (MMLA). This University applies this law independent of a parent’s gender. Leave beyond 8 weeks applies if more than one child is born, adopted or placed in foster care.
