Corey Albert Griffin, Ph.D.
Corey is a psychologist who is Director of the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program at UMass. She has been working for FSAP since 2012 and has worked in college mental health for most of the past 18 years. She provides short-term psychotherapy and referrals for employees who are struggling with life transitions, life stressors and mental health issues. She also works with supervisors and departments, providing workshops and consultation on work/life balance and general psychological well-being. In her clinical work, Corey draws from a number of different traditions including relational, narrative and cognitive-behavioral therapies. She believes strongly that talking through your struggles can be very powerful in and of itself but she also recognizes that sometimes people really need to roll up their sleeves and come up with practical solutions to their life issues.
