The AFSCME Sick Leave Bank (SLB) was established to secure income for SLB members who are on an approved medical leave for more than ten (10) working days due to a non-work-related illness or injury, where there is a reasonable expectation that the member will return to perform the essential functions of their job and where the SLB member does not have enough accrued paid leave credits to secure income during the period of leave (reserving two weeks of vacation credits).

The AFSCME SLB application form provides instructions on how a member can apply for approved leave & the form and instructions for applying for income from the AFSCME SLB while on approved leave.
