Chronic Care (LTC) + Life Insurance Benefit Enrollment October 2 - 27, 2023
for coverage effective December 1, 2023

Benefited employees are eligible to apply for chronic care + life insurance coverage through the University System's plan with Trustmark. Chronic Care (LTC) + Life Insurance plans provide assistance covering the cost of care if the member is unable to perform 2 of 6 Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)* or is experiencing a severe cognitive impairment (Alzheimer's or Dementia) & help is needed for more than 90 calendar days. Plan and enrollment information will be e-mailed directly to eligible employee's UMass e-mail address during October.

* Activities of Daily Living are: bathing, transferring, eating, toileting, continence and dressing.
