Achievements and Accolades
Gregory Collins ’09, a postdoctoral associate and lecturer in the department of political science at Yale, recently released a book on Edmund Burke’s economic thought, titled “Commerce and Manners in Edmund Burke’s Political Economy.”
The Circle of Excellence Award Program recognizes chapters for their work in promoting excellence at their institutions and engaging the community of scholars each year. The awards utilize data submitted by the chapter to the national office regarding yearly initiation efforts and chapter activities. This accomplishment is only possible due to the efforts of dedicated chapter officers.
In both the fall and spring of each academic year, Research Next selects a small group of undergraduate students from across the UMass Amherst campus to receive The Rising Research Award, recognizing students for their ambitious, creative, and impactful research.
It is not an easy journey to create a startup. But that’s exactly what Commonwealth Honors College students Hadley Beauregard, Hailey Charest, and Bryanna Lexus Freitas set out to do. The three took the top prize at Amherst Pitch Night on February 6, securing $600 for their startup.
