I have been at the Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) since 2018. I am a first-generation college student originally from Kansas City, MO. I earned my BA in Spanish from the University of Kansas (KU) and I studied abroad in Costa Rica for six months during my sophomore year. I went on to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Saint Louis University (SLU) and then returned to KU to work as a staff member for three years. Going into the workforce after earning my MPH helped me realize that I wanted to pursue a PhD to fulfill my goal of working in the field of global public health and mentoring students.
