I was born and (partially) raised in Puerto Rico and have a true affinity for the island life-the colors, the music, the ocean! My main avenues of expression are dance and spoken word poetry. After receiving my undergraduate degree in English and Psychology I earned my M.Ed in Higher Education in Student Affairs specifically because I wanted be an advocate for college students the way others advocated for me. My career path began in Academic Advising then transitioned through Multicultural Affairs, Residential Life and now back to Academic Advising. These professional paths have allowed me to foster understanding of the impact of a student’s wellbeing on their overall journey. Therefore, I strive to create a holistic advising experience intended to leave students feeling heard, seen, and confident about their next steps.
