Amari Leah Boyd (she/her/hers) is a fourth-year PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying Social Justice Education and works on the Honors-to-Honors (H2H) support staff as an H2H Mentor. She specifically provides professional, personal and academic support for H2H students. In addition to her role as an H2H Mentor, Amari has facilitated workshops on race, microaggressions, gender, and sexuality at NYU, UMass Amherst, Smith College and several non-profits in the Pioneer Valley. Her research interests include autoethnography, dialogue facilitation, critical methodologies, misogynoir among faculty and staff of color as well as vulnerability and integrity within social justice education. Amari is also a proud cat mom.
