Encounters: Conversations on Racism, Antisemitism, and Islamophobia
In the academic year 2020-2021, The Research Institutes of Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, directed by Amos Goldberg, and the Institute for Holocaust, Genocide, and Memory Studies at UMass Amherst, directed by Alon Confino, launched a new, transnational program called “Encounters”: a series of meetings on new books in the research fields of the Holocaust, genocide, and mass violence. “Encounters” offers a unique opportunity for a broad audience, scholars and laypeople, interested in these topics across national borders, to be acquainted to the most recent works on these topics.
