Take a Remote Career Development Course
History 398A: Career Development for History Majors, 2 Cr. Pass/Fail
The Career Development Practicum has gone remote. Offered each spring and fall and instructed by History Department Internships and Career Advisor, Heather Brinn, this class is designed to help you think about and actively prepare for life after graduation. We will explore a variety of career development topics, including career possibilities for history majors, the qualifications history majors bring to the job market, and opportunities for pre-professional development. In addition to these skills, we will engage with what it means to job-search, interview, network, intern, and work remotely. You will also gain practical skills to help you jump-start your job search after college, from resume and cover letter writing to self-assessment, networking, job hunting, and interviewing strategies.
