Founder and Executive Director of the GroundTruth Project and Co-founder of GlobalPost, history alumnus Charlie Sennott '84 is one of the nation's most accomplished foreign correspondents, dedicated to the pursuit of ethical and responsible journalism. He is an award-winning journalist and author with a distinguished career in international reporting for both print and broadcast news organizations. 

"People often ask me, 'do you ever use your degree in history?' And my answer is, 'I use it every day.' My work in undergraduate studies in history has really shaped my journalism," Sennott notes. "My major in history has been something I've continued to study throughout my life.... It's been a lifelong process of loving history and wanting to bring it into the work I do every day in the field as a journalist."
