My research interests broadly consist of social movements and activism in the United States post-1945, with intersections of race and gender. Past graduate work has discussed women, religion, and race during the Civil Rights Movement, internationalism and intersectionality in African American women’s Civil Rights activism, and the role and agency of Japanese women atomic bomb survivors (hibakusha) in the respective Japan- U.S. anti-nuclear movements. Future research will address anti-nuclear activism.
