Professor Julio Capó, Jr. contributed to a scholarly interchange among several scholars who have researched HIV/AIDS that was published in the premier journal of U.S. history, the Journal of American History. "HIV/AIDS and U.S. History," which appears in the September issue of the JAH, surveys the existing literature and notes how the epidemic's intersectional histories connect to the larger narrative of the modern United States. This exchange also assesses where the field is headed and what we stand to learn from its continued development. In addition to Capó, the exchange includes insight from Jonathan Bell, Darius Bost, Jennifer Brier, Jih-Fei Cheng, Daniel M. Fox, Christina Hanhardt, Emily Hobson, and Dan Royles.
