This week, UMass History Department lecturer Daniel Chard (PhD '16) shared his thoughts on terrorism, American foreign policy, and the U.S. political scene from the 1970s to the present day in this interview with the Iran News Agency.
The original interview, which draws from Chard's book project Nixon's War on Terrorism: The FBI, Leftist Guerrillas, and the Origins of Counterterrorism (under contract with the University of North Carolina Press) appeared in Farsi and English, and has now been translated into Arabic, French and Spanish and picked up by several other online news sources in Iran, the UK, and Venezuela.
