Professor Audrey Altstadt's new policy piece, “Kennan Cable No.23: Putin’s Middle East Triangle,” connects her own work on the Caucauses to the rest of the region from a Russian strategic perspective, with crucial connections to U.S. policy. The piece was published as part of an online series of analytical articles on Eurasia by the Kennan Institute, a program in the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars where Altstadt was a fellow in 2014-2015.
