Elizabeth Sharrow, associate professor in the Department of History, has written a number of pieces commemorating the 50th anniversary of Title IX. Sharrow provided an overview of Title IX's successes and ongoing challenges in Women's Media Center, a breakdown of the history of Title IX (both positive and negative) in the Washington Post, and wrote the policy recommendations in the 50th anniversary report from the Women's Sports Foundation. Sharrow also participated in a webinar discussing the report's findings, was interviewed by the New York Times and Mother Jones, and was featured in the Title IX ESPN docuseries 37 Words.
