Kiara Hill is a third year doctoral student in the W.E.B. DuBois Department of African American Studies at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she is also pursuing a graduate certificate in Public History from the Department of History. She received her B.A. in Mass Communications from Sacramento State University, and her M.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Alabama. Her interests include Black female sexuality in popular culture, transnational feminism, and Black feminism. She is also interested in highlighting Black female narratives within the field of Public History through museum exhibits and historical sites.
