While at UMass, I am excited to explore grassroots forms of public history that empower communities to tell their own stories, looking particularly at oral history and local radio.
Originally from the southeast, I interned in New Orleans with both the Louisiana State Museum archives and the National World War II Museum, and worked on digital humanities projects while at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Most recently, I worked with the National Park Service at Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut. I look forward to developing my research interests and to gaining more experience in the field while pursuing the graduate certificate in Public History.
