Applying to Graduate School Series: Application Materials
Are you considering applying to graduate school?
On Monday October 7th from 5:00pm-6:30pm in Herter 601, the History Department will be kicking off its two-part ‘Applying to Graduate School Series.’ Part I will focus on developing your all-important application materials, the Personal Statement and the Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Part I of the series will feature a Personal Statement Workshop from the UMass Writing Center, examples of successful personal statements and application materials from real UMass History MA and PhD candidates, and some helpful hints on ‘Maximizing Your Undergraduate CV’ from Professor Jessica Keene. Pizza and refreshments will be served. See the poster below for more info!
The event is open to all History/HFA majors at any level, but will be particularly helpful for Juniors and Seniors who are thinking about/actively in the process of applying to graduate school in the humanities.
Please direct any questions you have to Professor Keene at: @email.
