Fields: Public History, Digital History
Interests: Memory Studies, Museum Studies, Material Culture
Education: B.A. History, Gettysburg College ‘20
I was introduced to the field of Public History by the wonderful faculty at Gettysburg College. I minored in the field and completed digital history projects as well as internships as part of my Public History education.
As a resident of Gettysburg, I became acutely interested in memory studies. I have researched memory in Gettysburg as well as Washington D.C. for an internship with the Civil War Defenses of Washington and Budapest as part of my semester abroad.
I also have a background digital scholarship. I was a Digital Scholarship Fellow at Musselman Library for three years and created two websites of my own research as well as supporting classes with digital components.
While at UMass Amherst I hope to expand my knowledge of my chosen fields and gain more first-hand experience working as a Public Historian.
