Jillian Gochinski

BACKGROUND
Jillian Gochinski (she/her) is a Master’s student pursuing a Certificate in Public History. She is interested in American material culture, modern U.S. history and local history. She received her BA in History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2024, where she completed her undergraduate thesis “Women’s Education and Teaching in Mid-Nineteenth Century Massachusetts: Selections from the Diary of Agnes Higginson Fuller.” In the summer of 2024, she was selected to be a summer fellow at Historic Deerfield’s Summer Fellowship Program. During the program, she conducted research on woman-owned and -operated tea houses in the Connecticut River Valley.
Her other work has included developing a walking tour for Greenfield, MA's East Main Street, interning and working as a Curatorial Assistant at Memorial Hall Museum in Deerfield, MA and volunteering at the Historical Society of Greenfield.
