History majors are often also great candidates for other scholarships and prizes, which may be awarded at the college or university level or through other campus entities, like Commonwealth Honors College, W.E.B. Du Bois Library, the Alumni Association, etc, as well as national and international awards. If you have received an award that’s not listed above, please let us know! Similarly, if you are wondering if your work or record might be a good fit for another scholarship or other recognition—please ask; we don’t know everything relevant that you’re doing unless you tell us! UMass 21st Century Leader Award recognizing outstanding leadership in graduating seniors.
The HFA Senior Leaderships Award awarded to seniors within the College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
UMass Rising Researcher Student Achievement Award sponsored by the Vice Chancellors for University Relations and Research and Engagement. It recognizes exceptional students who excel in research, scholarship, or creative activity.
William F. Field Alumni Scholars for juniors for academic achievement and connected skills or contributions.
FLURA (Friends of the Library Undergraduate Research Award), sponsored by Special Collections and University Archives.
The Charles Moran Best Text Contest, sponsored by the Writing Program at UMass.
The UMass Academic/Community Transformation (ACT) Award for work connecting academic learning and community engagement in transformative ways. It is awarded by the UMass Office of Community Engagement and Service Learning.

Alumni Association
Each year, the Alumni Association presents more than 100 scholarships and over $90,000 to students. Alumni volunteers help select award and scholarship recipients and participate in student ceremonies to celebrate their achievements.
