BACKGROUND

Katlyn Durand is a PhD student studying resistance to U.S. empire and imperialism. In particular, she is interested in solidarity work and the political visions and work of diasporic and revolutionary women. Katlyn received both her MA in Public History and her BA in Journalism at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. 

Katlyn is currently developing a project on Syro-Lebanese women laborers in Worcester, Massachusetts in the early 20th century.
