Women's Choir and Opera Workshop Spring Concert

UMass Amherst Chamber Choir

The Women’s Choir, conducted by Mimi Goodman, and Opera Workshop, coordinated by Marjorie Melnick, will perform on Sunday, April 22 at 2:00pm in Bezanson Recital Hall.

The Women’s Choir program will include Peter Lyondev’s “Ergen Deda,” Rosephanye Powell’s “Still I Rise,” Eleanor Daley’s “Rise Up, My Love,” and the treble choir premiere of Bettina Sheppard’s “Love is Anterior to Life.”

The Opera Workshop will present unstaged scenes from Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, Impresario and The Magic Flute, along with Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, Britten’s Albert Herring, Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado, and Haydn’s La Fedeltà Premiata.

Free and secure parking for Bezanson Recital Hall is available in nearby University lot 71 off Massachusetts Avenue and lot 62 via Thatcher Way or Stockbridge Road; for additional options, check the UMass interactive parking map.
