"Central Asia: Culture, History and Invention," begins on Thursday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in Herter Hall. Speakers will include :Audrey L. Altstadt, Professor UMass Department of History, Anne Broadbridge, Associate Professor UMass Department of History and Walter B. Denny, Distinguished Professor, UMass Department of History of Art & Architecture

Following events part of the Central Asia, Women and Society Series:

An educational film screening of The Eagle Huntress will start on Friday March 2, at 7 p.m, in the ILC, room S331. 

"QYRQ QYZ: Music & Film from Central Asia" takes place on Sunday March 4, at 4 p.m, in Bowker Auditorium, Stockbridge Hall. The pre-show talk with musicologist Ted Levin, (Dartmouth College) begins at 3:00 pm.
