Aletheia, a multi-media one-act opera written and performed by Abbie Conant, will be presented on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m.  Composed, designed, and directed by William Osborne, Aletheia is a one-woman show that centers around an opera singer preparing for a gala performance. The singer contemplates her doubts and existential questions from within an actual “iron maiden” cage. A multi-faceted performer, librettist, and musician, Conant is a trail-blazer in the classical music world, having been named Principal Trombone by the Munich Philharmonic in 1980 following a landmark gender discrimination lawsuit.
