A Piece from Charles Derby's African art collection

The African art exhibition titled "5 Takes on African Art/ 42 Flags by Fred Wilson" will open with a performance given by the Bamidele Dancers and Drummers followed by a talk from the exhibit's curators and Charles Derby. Hosted by the UMCA and curated from Charles Derby's collection by a team of graduate students advised by Professor Imo Imeh, the exhibit explores the "five takes" of the art by the five curators. Fred Wilson's "42 Flags" encircles the art, and the exhibit runs until December 30, 2017. For more information, visit the UMCA website.
