Resumes vs CVs

In the United States, a resume is often used for non-academic jobs while a Curriculum Vitae (CV) is often used for academic and teaching positions as well as applying for graduate school. Outside the US, the terms CV and resume can be more interchangeable.

Make your resume robot-proof using Jobscan or Skillsyncer.

Cover Letters

Cover letters for non-academic jobs are relatively short, certainly not over one page in length, more often just three to four paragraphs long.

Interviewing and Negotiating

Prepare and practice for each interview, and plan how you will negotiate for yourself.
