A Message to our Students.

East Asian Literatures & Cultures

The East Asian Languages and Cultures Program enhances language acquisition with interdisciplinary and transhistorical cultural forays into literature, religion, linguistics, politics and diplomacy, popular culture, women’s studies, gay and queer studies, and film studies. 

In working with you, our students, to think critically about East Asian cultures and broaden your perspective, we hope to have equipped you be better global citizens—the very individuals the world needs now, more than ever.
