Graduate Student Government Associate Speaker - Julie Hammond
I am a Ph.D. student in the Teacher Education & Curriculum Studies department of the College of Education. Prior to enrolling full-time at UMass, I taught high school science classes for 7 years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in physics from Boston University and a master’s degree in teacher leadership from Mount Holyoke. With a research focus is on equity and intersectionality in the physical sciences, I am particularly interested in how learning technologies can be leveraged to promote social justice in STEM education with an emphasis on disability justice.
