Want to learn how your research training translates to public engagement and policy development, or possibly even take your career in that direction? This panel of scientists and state representatives will discuss the critical intersection of science and policy and help researchers understand how they can effectively engage in science advocacy, communication, and policy for the public good. Panelists include Representative Michael J. Finn, Representative Aaron Vega, Dr. Brindha Muniappan (Discovery Museum), and Dr. Jessica W. Tsai (STEM Advocacy Institute). Immediately following the panel, a limited number of seats are available for a luncheon with panelists (11:45am-1:15pm). Co-sponsored with TRISCI.
Pre-registration for the panel and/or lunch is required.
