The Institute for Global Health is pleased to announce the Global Health Research Awards for undergraduate students. This opportunity was established with funds from the dean of the SPHHS to allow undergraduate students to engage in global health research under the supervision of UMass faculty. Eligible recipients will demonstrate an interest in working in global health and maintain a minimum GPA of 3. The objective is for students to broaden and deepen their classroom knowledge and learning. It is an opportunity to sharpen their critical and analytical skills and to prepare them for graduate study and global health careers. Interested students will identify a faculty with a global health project to provide mentored research experience in the following areas: literature review, data entry or data analysis, report writing, or other research-based opportunities in global health. Recipients will work with the faculty as research assistants in the summer or the academic year.
