Global Education celebrates the opportunity for international students to study abroad while attending UMass Amherst.
Here are some things to consider as you think about studying abroad:
-
Are you studying abroad during your last term? Check with your International Student and Scholar Services Advisor to make sure you remain eligible for post-graduation visa opportunities.
-
Check your immigration document end dates to make sure your I-20 or DS-2019 doesn’t expire before the end of your program.
-
Ensure you stay enrolled in your UMass applicable health insurance.
-
Make sure you have secured a travel signature prior to leaving for your program.
-
Speak with an Education Abroad Advisor AND your International Student and Scholar Services Advisor about your plans.
