About Me
Hello! My name is Jocelyn Canton, and I am a junior majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Sustainable Community Development. I studied abroad in Fall 2022 during my first semester. I was a part of the CEA CAPA First-Year London Program. Navigating the transition to college while abroad provided me with the most incredible life experiences and memories I will carry for the rest of my college career and beyond. I got the opportunity to befriend locals, explore London’s landmarks and hidden gems, and take a wonderful trip to Vienna and Prague. One of my favorite memories in London was standing for sixteen hours in the queue to see the Queen’s coffin. Along the way, my peers and I met people from all over the UK and caught a glimpse of David Beckham. Although standing for sixteen hours was exhausting, it was all worth it because I got to be a part of such a momentous occasion.
I encourage anyone who has the chance to study abroad to do it because it is a valuable opportunity to go out of your comfort zone and learn more about yourself while deepening your worldview. The memories you gain and the people you meet will make your experience unforgettable!
