Study Abroad

Overview

Studying abroad is an excellent opportunity to engage with the cultures that you study here at UMass. Depending on their course of study, students have the opportunity to study abroad for a summer, semester or academic year. UMass offers students the ability to choose from a variety of study abroad programs. Students can attend an exchange at a partner university abroad or study abroad through a partner program.  

International Programs Office (IPO)

All study abroad programs through UMass Amherst can be found through the International Programs Office (IPO). Use their search engine to select the country you're interested in and you can find specific information about different universities, language requirements, and academic courses. UMass Amherst students will have to apply through IPO to go abroad. Deadlines and application requirements are posted there.
