Sarah Kim is a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in piano performance and linguistics as well as minors in German and comparative literature. Her hobbies include listening and playing music, reading a good book while it’s snowing outside, and watching a substantial movie that makes her think. A German movie she always recommend to others is “Werk Ohne Autor” (Never Look Away in English). It is about a young artist who finds the truth of his life through art and love during World War II (Max Richter was the composer for the movie and the music is astounding). Learning German has been always a dream for Sarah. She wasn’t able to achieve her dream in high school so she is beyond happy for the opportunity and the experience she has had with the German department at UMass so far!
