Ka Wing Cheung '21

My name is Ka Wing Cheung, and I am a Junior majoring in Math (Statistics) and History with a German minor. I did not study abroad, as many others have done, but I can give you tips and tricks to study the German language and culture without leaving the States (or even your room). As with learning any language, never be afraid to speak in that language. I have studied and do speak multiple languages - native Cantonese and Mandarin, English since pre-school, 5 years of Spanish before UMass, 3 years of German, and 1 semester of French and Hebrew at UMass. So, I do understand the different kinds of struggles when learning different Romance languages and languages with different systems.
