Sintra's research specializes in salt marsh ecosystems and their resilience, with specific focuses on understanding coastal sediment dynamics, tidal flow restoration, and the political ecology of salt marsh restoration. Growing up in a coastal community, Sintra has nutured a life-long love and responsibilty to coastal communities and ecosystems. As such, Sintra is interested to support management practices that benefit both the human and more-than-human world.
