Katie Kahl

Katie's work lies at the intersection of ecology, public policy, and stakeholder engagement. She helps lead regional economic development strategies around the marine economy and climatetech. She also co-leads the Commonwealth's MassMarsh effort. As Director of the UMass Amherst Gloucester Marine Station, she aligns research needs across fisheries, climate resilience, regional economic development, and marine ecology programs and works with stakeholders to translate findings toward applied solutions.
