Swing into Spring

UMass Amherst campus is bustling with events and activities

With the approaching end of the spring semester and the arrival of warmer weather, the UMass Amherst campus will be abuzz this weekend with a wide range opportunities for students to get out and activities to join in and enjoy. In one of the busiest weekends of the year, students will have a choice of more than 35 events and activities from which to select.

The action starts Thursday with music and dance performances—continuing all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with more performances, intercollegiate athletic competitions, student competitions and celebrations, the UMass Powwow, QuadFest, and Soulfest, and concludes with the annual Spring Concert featuring Khalid & Lil Yachty.

  • Thomas Buckner and Andrea Hairston; 7–9 p.m., Augusta Savage Gallery, New Africa House
  • UMass Theater Guild performance: The Shadow Box; 7 p.m., Fine Arts Center Bridge, Room 434
  • Alive with Dance II, 7:30 p.m., Bowker Auditorium
  • The Silkroad Ensemble; 7:30 p.m., Fine Arts Center Concert Hall
  • Black Mass Communication Project (BMCP)’s Berkshire Dining Commons Party; 9:30–midnight
