Recently, a group of UMass food science alumni returned to campus as part of a PepsiCo hiring team to recruit students for their summer 2025 internship program. Over the course of two days, more than 80 students participated in various activities, including an information session on PepsiCo’s internship opportunities and a workshop focused on virtual interviewing and resume-building skills.
This event was a collaborative effort between PepsiCo's recruitment team—featuring UMass food science graduates Brooke Pearson (M.S.), Thaddao Ogren (Ph.D.), and Thananunt Rojanasasithara (Ph.D.)—and the UMass Food Science Internship Committee, led by alumnae Charmaine Koo, Alissa Nolden, and Amanda Kinchla. Together, they provided invaluable insights and opportunities to help students kickstart their careers in the food industry.
